Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for a free service. What you can rely on, what you cannot, and the rules for the public tools and our network.

Last updated 2026-08-20 · support@corehost.io

1The service

Corehost Pulse ("Pulse", "we") is a free, multi-region uptime-monitoring service operated by Corehost. You use it to monitor endpoints you own or are authorised to monitor, and to receive alerts. Pulse is provided as the front door of the Corehost platform.

2Accounts

You need an account (email and password, optional TOTP MFA) to create monitors. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. One human per account unless we agree otherwise; do not share logins.

3Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Monitor, probe, traceroute, or run the looking glass against hosts you do not own or have permission to test. The public tools are for legitimate diagnostics, not attacks.
  • Use Pulse to launch or amplify denial-of-service traffic, port-scan third parties, or circumvent anyone's security.
  • Abuse the free tier through automation intended to exhaust our network (rate limits apply; we may throttle or suspend).
  • Resell Pulse as your own product without agreement (building on our API for your own users is fine; white-labelling the whole service is not, ask us).
  • Upload unlawful content to status pages, tickets, or custom domains.

We may suspend or remove monitors and accounts that break these rules.

4Free service, fair use

Pulse is free for personal and commercial use. Default limits (currently 100 monitors, 15-second minimum interval) exist to protect the shared network; we may adjust them and will grant increases on reasonable request. We may change, limit, or discontinue features. We aim to give notice of material changes but are not obligated to for a free service.

5Your data and content

You own your monitor configuration, status-page content, and results. You grant us the rights needed to operate the service (store, process, display, and deliver alerts). See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and how. You are responsible for the legality of what you monitor and publish.

6Third-party integrations

Alerts you route to Discord, Slack, PagerDuty, email, push, webhooks, and similar are governed by those providers' terms. Bring-your-own-domain status pages rely on your DNS and a certificate authority; we are not responsible for your DNS configuration.

7No warranty

Pulse is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that monitoring will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every outage or recovery will be detected or alerted. Do not rely on a free monitor as your only line of defence for critical systems.

8Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corehost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Pulse, including missed or delayed alerts. Because the service is free, our aggregate liability is limited to AUD $0 (the amount you paid), except where the law does not permit such limitation.

9Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@corehost.io from the address on the account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, threaten the network, or where required by law. On termination we remove your account data per the Privacy Policy.

10Changes

We may update these terms; we will update the date and, for material changes, surface a notice. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia (Corehost's operating jurisdiction), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Placeholder pending entity confirmation.
